Sunflowers are bright, cheery, and exudes a warm and inviting appearance. Throughout history, artists loved to paint sunflowers. Those of Impressionist era were especially fascinated on the flower. Originated in the Americas in 1,000 B.C., sunflowers were first cultivated as a valuable food source for centuries. As the European started exploration of the New World, so did the flower’s popularity spread. Soon enough the rest of the world began to appreciate its beauty and sustenance.
